This is a cycling led ride to Loch Lomond, not a guided spoken tour providing information on points of interest. The ride is exclusively for ages 16+.
Bike For Good & the Commonwealth Games are teaming up to bring the public a series of led rides this Summer showcasing Glasgow’s history, iconic landmarks and green spaces.
An epic ride to the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond. Join us as we make our way from Glasgow to Balloch, utilising the National Cycle Route 7 to avoid the busy roads all the way down. The perfect trip to explore outside of Glasgow into the country without having to contend with traffic. An all-day ride with no hills suitable for beginners with reasonable fitness.
Bikes and helmets can be provided for, a decent level of cycling experience is required as we will be navigating the majority of the route on cycle paths/shared use paths, however we will occasionally have to use the roads too.
Due to this ride being a longer one, a decent level of fitness is required. It’s encouraged for participants to bring spare waterproofs and some snacks/water.
The ride is exclusively for ages 16+.
