Hire or loan a cycle


Bikes are available for daily hire for members on Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9.30am and must be returned by 4pm. Wide range of bikes to hire, including balance bikes, children’s bikes and adult hybrids. Trailers and baby seats are also available.

We run a bikepacking and camping equipment library which is open to memberships (£50/year). The archive and software is in development but feel free to drop us a message if you’re interested in borrowing anything! We have a selection of tents, panniers, matts, saddle bags and much more. We also have a selection of saddles to try if you’re struggling with your current one!
We offer ebike loans to disadvantaged individuals, including ethnic minorities and disabled persons at affordable and interest free rates.

Glasgow Afghan United’s G20 Cycling Project & Bike Library offers FREE cycle loans to everyone in the G20 area of Glasgow. We have adult, teen and children’s bikes, helmets, hi-vis, locks available.
We are open on TUESDAYS (3 – 5pm) and SATURDAYS (10am – 12noon). You can access our bike library from Shakespeare Street, off Maryhill Road (near MacDonalds). Go past the Mackintosh Halls then turn right into the car park. ( WHAT THREE WORDS: ///zooms.agenda.pizza )
Please bring photo ID and proof of your address with you when you come to borrow a bike.
We encourage people to borrow a cycle for one week, then bring it back so that it can be checked by our team- that way, we can make sure that your cycle is safe and in good working order. You are more than welcome to borrow the bike again for another week…

The Govan Community Project Bike Library offers loans to people who are in the asylum system or who have received their refugees status. We recommend that members live roughly within walking distance of the library, in other words the distance you are prepared to walk to collect your bike.
Adult bikes, kids bikes, balance bikes, extra kids seats and trailers for pulling kids are available for individuals and families to borrow.
There is a limited number of bikes and there is a waiting list. To join the waiting list please register as a member of the library
