Job opportunity: Bike for Refugees Hiring A Project Manager

Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) is a charity going through a period of growth and transition as we address increased demand for our services and explore new ways of working and delivering our activities within the context of Covid-19. This will be an essential part of the role- our workshops In Glasgow and Edinburgh have been temporarily suspended since lockdown due to coronavirus risk whilst our waiting list for bikes has continued to grow. In Glasgow we will be seeking to identify new and larger premises (funding dependent) that enable us to deliver our activities whilst we keep staff, volunteers and service users safe. You will have a lead role in supporting this transition and identifying and implementing new and creative ways to get New Scots cycling.

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing service delivery for Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) and its two community Hubs in the West and East of Scotland. Supported by the board of directors you will work on a variety of projects including volunteer support and coordination; bike collections, repairs and distributions, and special projects and activities. The post holder will be expected to maintain a good working knowledge of Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) programmes, policies and procedures, and maintain good working relationships with a variety of external stakeholders and partners.

This position is required to coordinate our service delivery as we grow bike donations, distributions, income activities and sales.
