Free Wheel North Track Reopens Part Time

As the lockdown eases Free Wheel North are reopening their track on a Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and trialling a booking system. They are focused on helping people with disabilities to get cycling in a safe environment, ensuring everyone can enjoy the physical and mental benefits of cycling.

Free Wheel North ask users to please help to keep a safe environment, follow the guidelines and work with them. Please follow social distancing guidelines and keep 2metres from people. Practice good hand hygiene and good coughing technique.

Please go to the gate 10 minutes before your time slot so they can help you onto your bike at your chosen time. You will have 45 minutes to use the bike on the track. After each use, bikes will be sprayed with antibacterial spray. Please bring your own gloves as they cannot provide these. Hand sanitiser will be available to use.

Free Wheel North only have limited days open just now due to a shortage of funding. We encourage users to make a donation (suggested £3-5 if you can afford it) so that they can stay open and don’t have to close their gates again. They are only able to have limited people on the track and so cannot generate income from public use.

Contact information will be gathered through Eventbrite and will be used for contact tracing if an infection occurs at our site.

If you cannot attend please contact Free Wheel North to let them know. If you do not show up for your booking you will not be able to book in again the following week.
